    Sayings for Today

By merely abstaining from marital life one does not become a brahmachari; by raising a family one does not become a grihastha; by wandering in the wilderness one does not become a Vanaprasti; and by donning the geruva robe one does not become a sanyasi. It is observance of Ashrama Dharma, the law of human conduct in specific spheres, that makes one a brahmachri, or a householder, or a vanaprasti or a sanyasi.
